Objectives of the Hirschfeld-Eddy-Foundation
The Hirschfeld-Eddy-Foundation provides concrete assistance, through international networking and cooperation with partner organizations in the global South and Eastern Europe, for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersexual (LGBTI) people under threat.
We support LGBTI human rights work on the national and international level through enlightenment, the raising of public awareness and through forging alliances. We work constantly to convince those responsible for foreign policy, development cooperation and human rights policy. We support the work of human rights advocates and promote campaigns against homophobia and judicial persecution.
The Hirschfeld-Eddy-Foundation was founded in 2007 as the human rights foundation of the Lesbian and Gay Federation, Germany.
